Die kunst.wirt.schaft geht wieder nach München!Anläßlich der „schmuck 2017“ bespielen wir wieder einmal den öffentlichen Raum.
Mit einem eigens dafür gebauten Wagen zeigen wir zwischen Barerstraße und Theresienstraße am 10.März
zwischen 10:00 und 18:00 „Tastschmuck“.
Die kunst.wirt.schaft Graz hat für die Munich Jewellery Week ein neuartiges Konzept entwickelt, welches die Erfahrung des Medium Schmuck in eine andere Dimension transferiert. Mit Schmuckstücken, die in einer verdunkelten Kabine zu ertasten sind, wird so endgültig die Loslösung von wertvollen Materialien und glänzenden Oberflächen vollzogen. Schmuck, der sich einerseits zwar vom Prädikat wertvoll entfernen will, andererseits aber über die Präsentationsformen – häufig in Vitrinen und hinter Glas – doch wieder als unberührbar inszeniert wird, wird so zu seinem Ursprung zurückgeführt und wieder haptisch erfahrbar.
Die Munich Jewellery Week ist weltweit eine der bekanntesten Veranstaltungen zur Schmuckkunst. Daher ist es uns wichtig, einerseits unsere eigene Arbeit zu präsentieren und andererseits die Ausstellungen der Kolleg_innen zu besuchen, um neue Entwicklungen und Strömungen wahrnehmen zu können und damit auch unsere eigenen Arbeiten im internationalen Kontext verorten zu können.
